蛍烏賊 - Firefly Squid

Firefly Squid (蛍烏賊)



Hotaru ika, aka firefly squid, is one of Spring's absolute favorites to order at the sushi bar. They are these darling little miniature squid that you can eat in one delicate bite. The “miso” (the guts, for lack of a better term) instantly bursts in your mouth, matched by the soft crunchiness of the tentacles. It really tastes like sea miso, it’s so delightful!!

Sakura season has come!!

Its spring, Sakura season has come!!

Sakura brings you special spring dishes to us. Our executive chef Inoue is preparing special Sakura course only available in March until mid of April for all Tomoe guests.

- 5 types of appetizer platter including seafood and vegetables

- Hamachi "Yuan (柚庵)" grill or Prime beef steak with Japanese sauce

3. Simmered
- Sakura-Mushi, steamed Sakura cake with seasoned fresh tile fish




4. Sushi
- 6 Sushi and Sushi roll

5.  Miso soup
- Seasonal green Nori miso soup

6. Dessert
- Japanese red bean ice cream

Beef Cheek Stew by our executive chef Inoue

Our executive chef Inoue is introducing one of his self confident dishes called "牛頬肉の柔らか煮 (Stewed beef cheek)" to our menu list.

The cheek meat is cooked for a few days to make all the fat to collagen. It melts in the mouth!!


"牛頬肉の柔らか煮 (Stewed beef cheek)" is available for lunch set and à la carte for dinner.

十四代 秘蔵酒

We are happy to announce that we have two bottles of 十四代 秘蔵酒 純米大吟醸 "Jyuyon dai Hizou Syu" in the house!!!

This is really really rare sake and this 秘蔵酒 is more popular than 龍泉 in Japan. Stocks are very limited, so please hurry.





Also, I brought back Kokuryu (黒龍), Midorikawa (緑川純米酒) and limited sake only sold in Yamagata (山形) called Inahono Kagayaki (稲穂の光) from Japan last week.

All of them are very rare in HK and worth trying. Please call us for booking!!
